Guided by the Tamarindo Touring Company's (TTC) Maria Albarran herself, or her husband John, you will be exposed to the culture of El Salvador as well as witness the creative process involved in producing these works of art. Maria has cultivated close relationships with many of these artists in helping them develop cooperatives. Through her passionate work, not only has she identified the very best communities to visit, but she has forged relationships that allows for several one-on-one visits with artists during your TTC tour. In the Pipil Adventure, the Tamarindo Touring Company (TTC) will combine multi-sport adventure with history. Our adventure traveler will discover the beauty of Cuscatlan by tracing the rich history of El Salvador from the Pipil period through the civil war that concluded in 1992. During the Pipil Adventure we will visit museums such as the National Museum of Anthropology and the Museum of the Revolution. We will also visit Mayan ruins as well as sites that will tell the story of the tragic Salvadoran civil war. We will have an opportunity to meet with locals to hear their perspective on these important periods of Salvadoran history. The Pipil Adventure is for the adventure traveler who wants to combine multi-sport adventure with a life long cultural learning experience. Absorbing the history, culture, and biodiversity of this country while hiking, biking, and kayaking are what differentiates this historical tour from all others. Come and learn with us.
