Meandering through Mayan sites or Artisan towns to pushing your hiking skills (and heart rate) to the limit -- El Salvador's hiking terrain offers it all. Tropical forests, volcanic climbs, cloud forests - TTC offers the hike that is perfect for you!

During El Salvador’s rainy season (May – September) TTC offers river rafting trips down the Paz and Lempa rivers. As rafters know, each river offers its own version of thrills and difficulty – and the rivers of El Salvador are no different. You can enjoy exciting class 1 – 3 rapids or chose heart pounding class 3 – 5 rapids. Come ride the rapids with us!

Volcanic Crater diving is a rare opportunity to experience El Salvador at its finest. Breathtaking green and blue water filled craters surrounded by dramatic cliffs feature a venue not offered in many locations. Experience volcanic hot water outlets during your dives. Not only will you view a tremendous array of water life, you will witness underwater volcanic formations few have ever seen. TTC staff has partnered with El Salvador Divers -- a 5 Star PADI Dive Center -- to offer these trips. Come and enjoy the undiscovered! (Certified divers only)

El Salvador carries a rich history. Whether your interest is ancient ruins, museums, artisan communities, or colonial villages - travel with TTC's president, John Guiliano, and enjoy these venues while benefiting from the narrative of a legendary storyteller. The original settlers named this country, 'Cuscatlan' which means the Land of Treasures. Travel with TTC as we explore these treasures - past and present!
El Salvador’s Pacific coast remains undiscovered -- and therefore a SCUBA diver's dream location. These unspoiled waters are perfect for catching views of Morays, Eels, Angel Fish, Eagle Mantas, Green Turtles, Lobsters, and more. Does open water diving to explore a shipwreck appeal to you? How about investigating a volcanic rock reef? TTC offers all the above when you book this Ocean SCUBA option. (Certified divers only)
(Note: December through March is the prime season for Ocean SCUBA diving tours.)

Come and meet the talented and friendly artisans of El Salvador. You will travel through this beautiful country and discover a variety of culturally inspired art. What a great opportunity to take some home to share with your family and friends -- but don't forget to save some for yourself!

Producing top quality coffee in El Salvador is an art -- handed down from generation to generation. The high grounds of the Apaneca area are world renowned for producing the country’s finest coffee. TTC has forged a terrific relationship with one of the most reputable plantations in the area. At the Santa Catalina Plantation you will have options to tour by foot and/or horseback as well as hear a presentation on the coffee production process that is both fascinating and complex. Planting, harvesting and processing coffee beans is a multi-staged process that is both time and climate sensitive. Understanding this process will give you a greater appreciation for the work that is involved in producing this product – and will have you savoring all future cups of coffee. Don’t worry, all tours include a sampling of this fine coffee; but some even include a taste-testing demonstration that would rival any vineyard!

With over 500 species of birds (over 300 are breeding residents), makes El Salvador a bird watcher's haven. From the tropical forest of El Imposible to the cloud forest of Monte Cristo, TTC staff will introduce you to professional guides that will assist you in discovering this great diversity of birds. Still yearn for more? The estuary of Jaltepeque offers even more opportunities to view some rare birds that inhabit the mangrove trees – but this time you will view them from a kayak or ponga boat provided by TTC. Our kayaks have pedals that allow you to use your hands to grip your binoculars to ensure you won’t miss an opportunity to view a rare species!
